Johan Santana To Red Sox?

Damn, if this happens it won't just be the Yankees who'll be in trouble, but the whole league could be bowing down to Red Sox Nation for years to come.

Sean Taylor Dies From Injuries

Sad news:
Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor died early Tuesday from the gunshot wound he suffered a day earlier in his Miami home.
"He did not make it through the night," said Taylor's attorney, Richard Sharpstein, who called the incident "a ridiculous, unnecessary tragedy."
Taylor, 24, a Pro Bowl safety whose rocky first years in the NFL had given way to what teammates called a newfound maturity, died at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he had been taken after being shot once in the leg early Monday morning. Police are investigating the incident as a possible home invasion.

Devin Hester Vs. The Broncos
If the Giants are going to have a chance this Sunday, they better make sure they keep the ball as far away from Devin Hester as possible. The guy's THAT good as the Broncos can certainly attest.

Eli Manning Still Sucks
If you're a Giants fan, you have to be greatly concerned about the future of your team with Eli Manning at the helm. It's been about 5 years now and there's just now way you can believe that Peyton's little brother will ever be better than a good QB. And while good QB's can win you Super Bowls (see: Trent Dilfer, Doug Williams, etc.), usually a great defense is also required and the Giants don't have that. Remember too, as the first overall pick of the 2004 NFL draft, it's not asking too much that Eli be better than what he's shown so far.

Cowboys 34, Jets 3
I think it's safe to say at this point that we're just playing out the string. But give rookie CB Darrelle Revis credit for having a good year tho.

Brett Favre Mulling Return In '08
With the kind of season the old man is having, why shouldn't he come back for another run? Unless, of course, he wins another Super Bowl.

Jets 19, Steelers 16 (OT)

A trick play for our only touchdown, 4 field goals, 7 sacks. Thomas Jones and obviously Mike Nugent looked good tho', but I don't know if Kellen Clemens is proving to be the answer for our franchise.

Bonds Indicted, Could Face 30 Years

Of course, there's a rush by the sports media to convict Bonds even though he hasn't been found guilty of anything. That has all to do with Bonds personality which the media likens to that of a troll. But it stinks of hypocrisy if Bonds is the only athlete going to the big house for Baseball's "steroid era". Anyone else remember Rafael Palmeiro's big fib in front of Congress, or for that matter Mark McGuire admitting using those Andro pills? Regardless of the outcome to all of this you just know that it'll cost him the Hall of Fame.

Yankees Can Keep Alex Rodriguez

Hey, maybe he is sincere about wanting to be a Yankee, but then again as image-conscious as A-Rod is, I wouldn't be surprised that his reaching out to the Yankees is more about the deserved beating he's taken in the press of late. After all, announcing you're "opting out" during the World series was stupid and so was treating the Yankees like they need you when you've been nothing but a playoff bust while wearing the famous pinstripes. Despite all of that if the Yankees want to keep Mr. April for $300 million, that's fine by me because I certainly never wanted him on my team.

Where Is Stephon Marbury?

Ha! So the overrated, no defense, doesn't make his teammates better and selfish act has finally caught up to Stephon Marbury who lost his starting job and may be on the move. Well my only question is what took so long? What took so long for Isiah Thomas and James Dolan to see what a headcase Marbury is? My guess is all the trouble Marbury and big mouth caused during the offseason, but who cares? Stephon Marbury has long proven that he's bad news for any NBA team he plays on. If he's gone for good, I say good riddance.

I'm Betting On Sugar Shane Tonight

Nothing against Miguel Cotto who I like and always puts up a great fight no matter who he's facing, but if there's anyone who can stand toe-to-toe with anybody it's Shane Mosley. And he has the knockout power to make sure Cotto doesn't get up. Tonight we'll see.
