Devean George May Have The Greatest Agent Ever


Gotta' admit that for an agent of a bench player to hold this much weight against a blockbuster trade is pretty impressive. By the way wasn't it Jason Kidd who wanted Byron Scott out as coach for Lawrence Frank not too long back? Almost get the feeling that there's a whole lot of karma working its way around this deal.

Knicks Need To Step It Up And Beat Nets


Honestly, an upset win over a not-so-good New Jersey squad could really help save the Knicks season, only because Jason Kidd and the Nets have had their number for so long now, Marbury is out and a win could prove what I've been saying all along: its Marbury that needs to go, not Isiah Thomas.

Why Does Lawrence Frank Get An Extension?


Lawrence Frank has had a worse record running the New Jersey Nets than his predecessor Byron Scott. Plus, while Scott led his team to a couple of Eastern Conference championships, the Nets haven’t sniffed the NBA Finals under Frank (who arguably has worked with better talent than Scott). Yet, Scott was fired midway through his third season with the Nets, while today we find out that Frank, about to enter his 4th season, has gotten an extension. Doesn’t make any sense to me.

The Kidd Factor Pulls Nets Within A Game


Jason Kidd is yet another example of the kind of point guard Stephon Marbury will never be: a winner. This doesn't mean that the Nets will beat the Cavs, but with Kidd in there at least it'll be a competitive series.
