There should definitely be more national coverage about the Rockets fantastic streak (the 2nd longest in NBA history), so much so that if they're still winning consecutive games by the time SI hits it next deadline, Tracy McGrady should be on the next cover.
Houston was on a good run and they haven't missed Jeff Van Gundy at all this season, but in such a crowded West, they weren't going to the NBA Finals anyway. Why? Because Yao & McGrady will never be as good as Kobe & Shaq.
Well, when you're blessed with Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming, you gotta' do better than 3 straight first-round playoff exits. But if the Nets lose tonight and Lawrence Frank still gets to keep his job, than you just know that coaching jobs in the NBA are pretty much based on how much Jason Kidd likes you rather than how good a coach you are.
