Even Stephon Marbury's Cousin Thinks He's Selfish

Well look at this, one of Marbury's fam confirms what I've been saying for years:
Stephon Marbury has carried the stigma of being a selfish player for the majority of his 12-year NBA career.

Now, his older cousin is saying Marbury is even more self-centered off the court and is dishing details on the Knicks point guard in his autobiography, "The Beautiful Struggle," the Daily News has learned.

The book, due out in late September from Xlibris Publishing, has former NBA pro and current overseas player Jamel Thomas alleging that Marbury ruined a potential deal for him with the Minnesota Timberwolves. In it, Thomas includes a conversation that he allegedly had with Kevin Garnett, in which Garnett tells him how Marbury's presence on the team spoiled his cousin's chances of signing with Minnesota.

"Stephon's selfish - It's just the way he is," Thomas told The News. "He never put himself out there at all to help me. He left me out to dry. Too many false promises. I still love him, but he's selfish."

See what I'm talking about? Called out by your own cousin. Can the Knicks please trade or waive this cancer before he makes them worse (granted, that'd be hard to do after last season, but you get the point).

Knicks Make A Horrible Choice In Mike D'Antoni

Despite having 3 Hall-of-Famers on his squad, he couldn't get his team out the first round of the playoffs this year, his teams don't play defense and with the Knicks not being able to get under the salary cap for years now, there was no need to spend all that loot on Mike D'Antoni. Bad move by Donnie Walsh. Really bad.

Isiah, Please Take The Hoosiers Job!!!

Please Isiah, please. Pretty please. Now that Kelvin Sampson is officially out, could you please resign from the Knicks and offer to take the Hoosiers job. It is your alma mater and you're still beloved there. Plus, you did say that it would be the only position you'd consider taking other than the Knicks. Now be a man and live up to your word and go. Please. Pretty please?

Knicks Just Need To Eat Marbury's Contract

It's been 3 weeks since his father's death and Stephon Marbury has barely played because is still "recovering", all the while collecting $150,000+ paychecks for each game missed. And while "recovering" he still had the time to file a grievance over the fine the Knicks gave him for missing a game in Phoenix last month. He's easily the worse mistake has made Isiah Thomas during his run as Knicks GM. James Dolan needs to eat the money and let Marbury go.

Knicks Need To Step It Up And Beat Nets

Honestly, an upset win over a not-so-good New Jersey squad could really help save the Knicks season, only because Jason Kidd and the Nets have had their number for so long now, Marbury is out and a win could prove what I've been saying all along: its Marbury that needs to go, not Isiah Thomas.

Where Is Stephon Marbury?

Ha! So the overrated, no defense, doesn't make his teammates better and selfish act has finally caught up to Stephon Marbury who lost his starting job and may be on the move. Well my only question is what took so long? What took so long for Isiah Thomas and James Dolan to see what a headcase Marbury is? My guess is all the trouble Marbury and big mouth caused during the offseason, but who cares? Stephon Marbury has long proven that he's bad news for any NBA team he plays on. If he's gone for good, I say good riddance.

Knicks End 5-Year Home Opener Losing Streak

Ever since he became a Knick I've always liked Jamal Crawford and tonight proved to be another reason why. If the Knicks have any chance of finishing with a winning record this year, somebody needs to step up and make sure they win the gimme's on their schedule. A Minnesota Timberwolves team without Kevin Garnett, at home, is a definite gimme and tonight Crawford made the shots (including the damn free throws) in the 4th quarter to lead his team to victory.

Stephon Marbury Is A Jerk

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Stephon Marbury is not a winner, but a selfish malcontent. Any team that puts Marbury on their roster deserves the consequences, which in every case is losing. Now Isiah Thomas' stupid loyalty to Marbury could come back to haunt not just his professional life, but his personal one as Marbury testified today about how much of a jerk he is at Thomas' sexual harassment trial.

On Paper Zach Randolph Is A Great Move . . .

. . . but we all know that the real question is how will it work out on the court? Randolph and Eddie Curry are great offensive players. But will Stephon Marbury be willing to put his huge ego aside to get them the ball enough? And what about Jamal Crawford (who also loves to put it up)? Plus, the Knicks still haven't done anything about their anemic defense. Most of all I give Isiah credit for getting rid of Stevie Francis' huge contract. But, unless it's for Kobe, he better not trade David Lee.
