Say what you want about Bob Knight, but the NCAA never had to investigate his school while he was there. But now that Indiana's basketball program is involved in a huge scandal with a different coach, what will Holier-Than-Thou Myles Brand do about this?
He'll certainly be missed, but it makes sense to retire now because he was never going to win a championship at Texas Tech. And nevermind all the media's longstanding hostility towards him because he was a great coach, his programs were never investigated by the NCAA and his players graduated. All of that counts a lot more than a few silly incidents where he lost his temper. Just ask his players.
