Makes sense since he'll get paid out of his ass coming off of two national championships and he won't be far from home, but right now Orlando sucks and does Billy really want to deal with the rigors on the NBA?
Well, it took him long enough to admit how much he misses Shaq. But the bottom line is that the Lakers are a decent center (sorry, but no one can win an NBA championship with Kwame Brown, don't believe me just ask Michael Jordan) away from really contending because Kobe is that good and Odom, Luke, et al, make for a decent squad. So instead of whining Kobe should be pushing to have his input voiced in the upcoming draft and go from there.
And in the process blames everyone but Josh (who wasn't a first time drunk and was talking on his cell as well as not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash that killed him) for being dead.
Some Tampa Bay Devil Rays outfielder made a promise to put his wife and kids permanently out of submission the other day. Apparently, this isn't the first time Elijah Dukes has gotten in trouble for altercations with his wife, plus the guy allegedly has fathered some kids out of wedlock and his pops is in jail for killing a guy who sold his wife some fake crack.
There doesn't need to be any debate. Whoever ends up getting the first pick tonight had better take Greg Oden tonight. It would literally be criminal not to.
Well, when you're blessed with Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming, you gotta' do better than 3 straight first-round playoff exits. But if the Nets lose tonight and Lawrence Frank still gets to keep his job, than you just know that coaching jobs in the NBA are pretty much based on how much Jason Kidd likes you rather than how good a coach you are.
Filip Bondy (who I normally disagree with) makes an excellent point about how Mets execs seem to be making a bigger deal about Lastings Milledge rap career than their steroid problem.
You can listen to Manny D.'s (feat. Lastings Milledge aka L. Millz) "Bend Ya Knees" HERE.
Stu Jackson and the NBA can be as consistent as they want, but this is the NBA playoffs, Robert Horry started the whole thing and no punches were thrown. Bottom line, suspending Stoudemire and Biaw amounts to nothing but a dumb decision and if the Spurs win this series, someone should place an asterisk to it.
Of all people, I wouldn't expect Robert Horry to throw such a cheap shot the way he did at Steve Nash last night. Too bad for the Suns, Horry's stupidity (as Sir Charles noted after the game) could cost them Amare Stoudemire and Boris Diaw in Game 5, both for leaving the bench after Nash got whacked.
Dumb rule if I ever saw one, I still recall what it did to the Knicks not too long ago.
Jason Kidd is yet another example of the kind of point guard Stephon Marbury will never be: a winner. This doesn't mean that the Nets will beat the Cavs, but with Kidd in there at least it'll be a competitive series.
