I understand that he's probably having a hard time dealing with the amount of money he'll lose due to his suspension, but he has no one to blame but himself for all the trouble he's gotten into. And to be even more frank, if he wasn't a star athlete in the NFL we all know that he would've gotten some jail time for at least half of his infractions. But instead of laying low and finding himself some new "friends", he wants to whine about his suspension being "too harsh"?!? Dude, gimme a break.

Grant Hill signed a $93 million contract back in '00 so even his great-grandchildren will be well taken care of, he was a 7-time NBA All-Star and he'll always be one of the greatest college basketball players in NCAA history. But even I'm sick and tired of hearing about Grant Hill being injured. So if he's serious about retiring now he should just do it. He'd make a great coach tho'.

Celtics Cut Sebastian Telfair Over Gun Charge

Is it any wonder why the Celtics organization still has a reputation for being racist? I don't even like Telfair (who should've done at least two years in college before going straight to the NBA from high school because he clearly wasn't ready) and to be fair this is the second time Sebastian's gotten in trouble over carrying a gun, but whatever happened to innocent till proven guilty? Nevermind the case that an argument could easily be made that professional athletes do need to protect themselves when out in public. In other words, the Celtics could've at least waited to see this played out before cutting Telfair loose.

Listen, I feel bad for what happened to Caden Thomas (thank goodness he wasn't seriously injured) as much as the next guy, but from what I've read its seems to me that the family of the kid is just as responsible for this tyke getting hurt as much as the Colorado St. wide receiver who ran into him. Bottom line, a 4yo kid or any kid for that matter, has no business being on the sidelines of a football game. That's just dumb.

Nevermind the fact that as the Mariners, Rangers and George Steinbrenners Yanks have known for three years now, having Arod (no matter how terrific his numbers are) on your team doesn't equate to winning world championships. And last time I checked isn't winning what it's supposed to be all about?

Brilliant performance by John Maine (2-0) last night, who had a no-hitter before giving up a single to lead off the seventh in New York's 9-2 win over the Marlins. Maine gave up two hits before leaving; Miguel Cabrera singled to led off the seventh for Florida. Joe Borchard had a two-run homer for NY. Maine walked four and struck out seven. By the way, nothing against David Wright who I love, but hitting streaks that started in a different season should never count.

Dirk Nowitzki For MVP

I agree with this guy. Dirk Nowitzki should win the MVP award this season. The Mavs will enter the playoffs with the best regular season record and will serve as a heavy favorite to win their first NBA championship this year. And let's face it, despite great contributions from guys like Josh Howard and Jerry Stackhouse coming off the bench, Dirk and his 25.1ppg, 9.4rpg are essentially a one-man gang. Let's not forget too that the Mavs are an incredible 29-8 on the road this year. So while Steve Nash had another great year, Nowitzki deserves to be the guy who ends his MVP streak.

Message To Joey Crawford: Don't F-ck With David Stern

Crawford deserved his suspension. His actions, which included challenging Tim Duncan to a fight, were over the top. Yet, I never thought that Stern would come down on him like he did. Good for Stern and good for the NBA.
