As exciting as MLB playoffs can be and as much as I love the idea of the Yankees being a game away from elimination, I have to be fair and say that the 162-game season is too long and too grueling for playoff teams to have their whole season decided in a miniature best 3-of-5-game playoff series. I don't care if it means that World Series games could be played in November (esp. considering that that's already happened anyway), starting in '08 Bud Selig needs to do the right thing and extend the League Division Championship Series to a best 4-of-7-game series.
