Trevor Hoffman Blows Another Save

It just amazes me how the yahoos at Sports Illustrated once had the balls to call Trevor Hoffman the "best closer ever". Last year Hoffman cost his team a spot in the playoffs with his infamous meltdown at the end of last season against the Rockies and who can forget the homerun he gave up to Scott Brosius in Game 3 of the 1998 World Series? Not to mention the many other times Hoffman has failed in the clutch and now he's off to horrible start this year and in danger of losing his closer role. At the same Mariano Rivera, the definitive greatest closer ever, continues to be well . . . Mariano.
